Carry Me Ohio is an alternative rock band from Boulder, Colorado, formed in 2009. Its principal members are singer-songwriter Evan Pugh, guitarist David Goodheim, bassist Jeff Miller, and drummer Dan Nadler. The band's name is derived from the band Sun Kil Moon's song of the same name. Career Carry Me Ohio entered the music scene in 2009 with shows in Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins, quickly receiving critical acclaim on local music blogs. The band's music combines classical, rock, and country music. Originally playing with a celloist, the band intially focused on an acoustic/americana sound. However, with the departure of the celloist, the band recentered on more electric alternative rock. The band's debut album was independently released in the fall of 2010 and garnered good reviews from national music magazines such as M Music & Musicians Magazine. The album was reportedly recorded over 4 days during a spring snow storm. In 2010 and 2011, Carry Me Ohio began playing on local radio stations and at large festivals such as EMU Ecofest, Boulder Kinetics, and Boulder Sprints. Recent forum posts by drummer Dan Nadler suggest the band will be recording a sophomore album in Fall 2011. Discography Albums *Oak & Iron Bound (2010)
