Carlos Aveline

Carlos Aveline (born 1 1, 1975) is a middleweight martial artist from Brazil. His specialty is Brazilian jiu-jitsu, grappling and ground fighting.
BIO
Carlos Aveline Black belt Jiu Jitsu since 2000 member of cbjj and FGJJ started his training in 1992 with Walter Mattos & Mario Sperry. Walter & Sperry were both helicopter pilots and both trained at Carlson Gracie School ARREBENTACAO (meaning destruction in Portuguese). Walter was a black belt and Sperry only a brown belt at the time. Walter approached Sperry, and talked about opening up a school in Porto Alegre. Carlos Aveline was their first talent student as made from walter e sperry .
Carlos left Brazil in 1995 to open a BJJ school in Ocean Beach, San Diego, California as a Purple Belt.
He competed a few times here in America and won the Joe Moreira Tournament, the only tournament around in the early days. About two years later so he had to return and his Visa was running out. So the school was left to Odie Neto, his top student who was a brown belt at the time.
So upon his return to Brazil he opened his own MMA/ Weight gym school, where he started training for Vale Tudo.
He also competed in the Jiu Jitsu worlds a few times.

Carlos Aveline had 11 Vale Tudo Fights and never lost in Vale Tudo 11 - 0
He was Porto Algre Jiu Jitsu State Champion in 1992 and 1993 in the Peso Pena weight class (feather weight)at the time he still training every day at Sul Jiu Jitsu porto alegre Brazil as sport.
