CampusExplorer.com is a college information portal. The site utilizes Web 2.0 tools to allow users to search for schools, research admissions and finally connect with a college in the United States. History CampusExplorer.com was founded by Jerry Slavonia and Brian Hartnack in 2007. Both founders were senior executives at Rent.com which was purchased in 2005 by eBay. In July 2007, CampusExplorer.com raised money in a Series A round of investment. Series A investors include Rincon Venture Partners and O'Connor Ventures. In February 2009, CampusExplorer.com completed a Series B round of investment with OCA Ventures, Rincon Venture Partners and Origin Ventures. In December 2010, the company completed a $5 million Series C investment led by Klaus Koch at Vicente Capital Partners. Following the completion of this latest round of investment, Klaus Koch replaced Kevin O'Connor on the company's board of directors. Board of directors The CampusExplorer.com board of directors include Jim Andelman of Rincon Venture Partners, Brian Barnum, CFO, COO and President of R.H. Donnelly Interactive, Edward Lou of OCA Venture Partners, and Klaus Koch of Vicente Capital Partners. CEO Jerry Slavonia also sits on the board.
