Daniel Karpantschof

Daniel Herzberg Karpantschof (born January 20, 1985), is a futurist, serial-entrepreneur, and screenwriter, known for among other films Dogville by Lars von Trier.
Brief Bio
Daniel Karpantschof was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark and was very active in national student politics. By age 14 he was appointed to The Board of Education and attended UNESCO's 30th, 31st and 32nd General Conferences as Danish UNESCO Ambassador.
From 2006 to 2010 he served as board member of the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies. While there, he was, by The British Crown appointed consultative status to Her Majesty's British Government's Futures Analyst Network.
Spring 2009 he was appointed member of the Advisory Board of the notable Danes Abroad Business Group Online/DABGO. Same year he launched The Flux Capacitor, an international periodical about futures studies.
Karpantschof wrote the essay "So... What About Europe?!" for the Danish American Chamber of Commerce that was sparked a grand debate in the European/US business community.
Summer of 2011 he got married to Eva Fortes and immigrated to Washington, DC and was invited to join the Global Sandbox Network
Karpantschof often posts op-eds pieces in both Børsen and on the Danish political provocative site, Liberator, but is often quoted in Danish media
Business and Startups
Daniel Karpantschof has co-founded numerous companies. The first one was Damage Incorporated at age 15 together with Aske Oestergaard, based in Copenhagen, immediately followed by Club Blah Blah now CBB Mobile a cell phone service provider, Mobile Citizens - a project in 2001 defining and mapping out future consumer behavior of mobile phone applications, BoomTown an online gaming portal and co-brand internet cafes, owned and operated by TDC Internet, The Ministry of Innovative Storytelling and Natur-Energi. Furthermore he co-founded the international consultancy house, TalentTuning, dealing with gender equality in executive ecosystems.
In 2010 Search for Common Ground approached him to develop a strategy for the Common Ground Youth Coalition.
Most recently he founded Genco Pura, Inc.
The Nexus
Search for Common Ground along with United Nations Program on Youth started early 2011 to develop a conference together, focusing on young philanthropy. Karpantschof is the chief architect of this conference, called the Nexus: Global Youth Summit on Innovative Philanthropy and Social Entrepreneurship. The conference will be held in New York, NY Summer 2011.
