Cailte Kelley

Cailte Kelley (born July 26, 1979) is an American rock musician and singer-songwriter. He has been featured on several internet radio stations, WJDF in Orange MA, WGAW Gardner MA, WCRN Worcester MA, The River, Boston MA.
Biography
Cailte Kelley was born in Baltimore and raised in Athol, Massachusetts. His mother, Julie, is a cousin of the Burke Family Singers who gained fame in the 1960s as a singing family who toured nationally, and did several Christmas specials with Maria Von Trapp. Kelley has been performing all his life; by 11 he was playing regularly in Boston, by 21 he was touring North America. Now at 27 he has started Mud Room Records and his debut CD on the label will be released in June 2008.
Musical style and Influences
Kelley's music reflects influences from many different genres including rock music, 1950s doo wop, jazz, blues, gospel, pop music, and country. Kelley's lyrics have made many references to relationships, current events and patriotism, including mentions of the War in Iraq. His piano playing features complex harmonies and melodies and he draws inspiration from other famous piano players such as Billy Joel and Elton John.
