Caidy Nelson

Caidy Andrea Castillo Nelson (born 13 August 2008) is a Filipino-American footballer who plays as a defender for the Philippines women's national under-17 football team and Jacksonville High School Cardinals varsity soccer team.
Early Life
Nelson currently attends Jacksonville High School in North Carolina, where she plays for the Cardinals varsity soccer team. She helped the Cardinals win their first ever NCHSAA 3A state championship title over South Point 3-2 on penalty kicks during her sophomore year. She also plays youth club soccer for Wilmington Hammerheads of Elite Clubs National League.
International career
In January 2024, Nelson was first called up for the , where she attended a training camp with the Filipinas U17 in California, USA. In February 2024, she was named to the roster for friendlies against and at 2024 MIMA Cup in Spain.
In May 2024, Nelson was selected as part of the squad for the 2024 AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup in Bali, Indonesia. She made her international debut on 9 May in a match against . She then started in the following match against , which ended in a 1-1 draw.
