Ava Villapando

Ava Jolina Perez Villapando (born 8 May 2008) is a Toronto Ontario born Filipino-Canadian footballer who plays as a midfielder for the and Ontario Soccer Association registered soccer club Mississauga Soccer Academy as captain of her 2008 Girls Elite Showcase team.
Early life
Born in Toronto and raised in Brampton Ontario. Ava was Valedictorian and Female Athlete of the Year in her elementary school. Villapando currently attends St. Martin Secondary School in Mississauga, Ontario, where she plays for the Mustang varsity soccer team. In April 2024, the team trained in Manila before heading over to Bali, Indonesia for the 2024 AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup. She made her international debut on 6 May 2024 against . Villapando's pinpoint assist pass to Alexa Pino in the sixth minute, set up the first goal for the Philippines to take the score to 1-0. The Philippines later won the match 6-1. She featured in all three group stage matches during the tournament.<ref name="sw_stats" />
