Caditor is a text editor written in C# using the .NET framework. The latest version of the editor includes text encryption, line numbering as well as weak support for syntax highlighting. Portability While Caditor uses .NET, its portability to platforms other than Microsoft Windows is hampered by its use of the kernel32 library. This prevents it from operating under alternate implementations of the Common Language Runtime and .NET, such as Mono. Releases The original version of Caditor, v1.0, was released to SourceForge on June 24, 2008. Version 2 was released 2 months later on August 22, 2008. The latest major release is [http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id231949&package_id303768&release_id=649220 Caditor 3.2.1], which was released December 23, 2008. Several maintenance patches have also been released as updates to the above versions.
