Butterfly Twists Ltd is a contemporary ladies’ footwear brand created in London in 2009 and making both folding and non-folding shoes.
History
Butterfly Twists was launched in 2009 in London. In 2012, Pentland Group, invested in the brand and the capital injection was invested in international expansion and product innovation.
Butterfly Twists has collaborated with Hello Kitty in Japan and launched a collaborative Hello Kitty ladies’ footwear collection in 2014.
In 2011, Butterfly Twists was recognised by the United Kingdom Fashion Textile Awards (UKFT), winning the ‘Best New Exporter’ award.
Butterfly Twists won ‘Best Use of Technology’ for their patented multi-flexible sole by the 2013 British Footwear Association (BFA) Awards and were shortlisted in the categories of ‘Growing Brand of the Year’ and ‘Women’s Footwear Brand of the Year’ at the 2014 Drapers Footwear and Accessories Awards, a trade magazine in the UK.
Stores
Butterfly Twists is currently sold online as well as in independent footwear stores and chains in over 50 countries.
Butterfly Twists distributes its products in large retailers or department stores such as Office (UK), Galeries Lafayette (France) and Beams (Japan) as well as in stand alone boutiques and airports.
Butterfly Twists has also opened stores and kiosks in the Philippines, Mexico, Spain and South Africa
