Burrito: Jack-of-All-Trades

Burrito: Jack-of-All-Trades is an ongoing comic book series featuring the misadventures of the anthropormorphic donkey known as Burrito created by writer-artist Carlos Saldaña and published under his Accent Comics imprint. The first issue of which has been sold out since its debut in January 1995. The comic is well known for its wholesome family-oriented storylines that are accessible to all ages and often draws comparison to Mickey Mouse and Felix the Cat.

Premise
The comic follows a nonlinear storyline, as Burrito is a character that is not bound by time or space, allowing him to have adventures in various locales. Each issue featured a stand-alone storyline, and the series has yet to feature a storyline that has encompassed more than one issue. Burrito has been a fugitive in the year 2099, a fighter pilot for Pancho Villa in 1910, and an Aztec explorer who discovered Europe in 1492 (which he later renamed "New Tijuana"). Burrito is often accompanied on his adventuress by his other anthropormorphic friends, who often play more than one part in the overall story. Despite any obstacles that get in his way, Burrito can always count on his magical serape, blessed by Lady Luck herself, to protect him.

==Maturity of Content: "Bad Burrito"==
Saldaña had planned for the original stories to depict a more violent character who was not above killing, a vigilante whom he had dubbed "Bad Burrito". He would later make changes to the character before taking his original book to press, as he later recalled in an interview at Planet Comic Book Radio:

Despite the changes, there have been cases in which Burrito is forced to use a gun, although he always exhibits a distaste for them (usually by shouting "I HATE guns!") and no one is ever seriously injured. In fact, in the rare occasions when Burrito does use a gun, he fires with his eyes closed, which often resolves a situation to a humorous effect. (i.e., downing an attacking helicopter by accidently hitting the fuel injection.)

Running Gags
Burrito's many adventures have resulted in "running gags" in the series, including:

*"Holy Chorizo!": Burrito often shouts this statement when surprised or annoyed, or some variation thereof.
*Beer: Burrito loves to drink beer, but prefers to drink domestic rather than "smelly foreign imports".
*Miyamoto Usagi and Groo: Saldaña, friend to both creators Stan Sakai and Sergio Aragonés, often has their own respective characters (Miyamoto Usagi of Usagi Yojimbo and Groo of Groo the Wanderer) make cameo appearances. On one occasion, both were seen partaking in an out-of-control brawl.
*"I HATE guns!": Always exhibiting a distaste for firearms, Burrito usually shouts this phrase when forced to use one or when being fired upon. On some rare cases, people have been killed by guns, but never by Burrito himself. He also typically fires the gun with his eyes closed.
*"I HATE tv!": Burrito has also shown a dislike towards television, the reason being has never thoroughly been explained, and has destroyed television sets on several occasions.
*"Burrito means 'little burro'.": All issues of the comic book come with this quote inside. On several occasions people have responded with "What's a 'burro'?"
