Bungeling Empire

The Bungeling Empire (exact pronunciation: unknown) was a fictional villainous organization presented as the enemy by several different Brøderbund computer games.
Summary
Brøderbund never defines the exact nature of the Bungeling Empire, giving the player just enough of a backstory to act against it, though the games do depict it as having a significant amount of ill-gotten financial power and access to factories, anti-aircraft guns, jet fighters, boats that can carry supplies to rebuild destroyed buildings, and battleships.
Lode Runner first featured the Empire, presenting the outlandish scheme of repressing the people through fast food taxes and storing that money in 150 different treasury rooms. In Raid on Bungeling Bay, the Empire offered a much more serious threat, forcing the player to attack its military forces directly.
