Bruno Colmant (born 24 July 1961), is a Belgian lecturer at the university, an economist, a tax expert and a financial advisor. Member of the Royal Academy of Science, Letters and Fine Arts of Belgium, he also advises governments and business leaders in the field of economics. He was also a consular judge of the Brussels Commercial Court. Currently, he is Head of Macro Research at Degroof Petercam Bank. Colmant is also an author and co-author of more than 70 books and more than 5,000 articles and columns published since 1991. Education Graduated with Honors from Solvay Business School (1984), Bruno Colmant is an expert in various professional and political circles. Bruno Colmant holds a PhD in Applied Economics (2000), a Master's degree Business engineering (1984) from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, a Master's degree in Tax (1995) and a Master of Business Administration (1989) from Purdue University (Krannert School of Management, Indiana, USA). Colmant holds more than 20 business certifications in finance, management, accounting and tax, including American certifications: FRM, PRMIA, CFA, CISA, CGAP, CFSA, CFE, CSSA, CIA, etc. Bruno Colmant is also a chartered accountant and stockbroker. Career After a career primarly within the ING Group, where he became CEO of ING Luxembourg and managing director of ING Belgium and CFO, he is appointed Director of the Office of the Minister of Finance and Belgian Deputy Prime Minister, Didier Reynders In 1999, he developed the notional interest scheme . In 2000, Bruno Colmant became lecturer at numerous universities where he teaches Economics, Financial Management, Corporate Tax and Financial Accounting : Université Catholique de Louvain, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Université Saint-Louis, HEC-ULg, Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, Institut Catholique des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (ICHEC), École Royale Militaire (Bruxelles) and University of Luxembourg. In 2007, he became President of the Brussels Stock Exchange and a director of NYSE Euronext. He played a major role in the merger between Euronext and NYSE. In 2009, he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Ageas. Later in the same year, he joined Roland Berger Strategy Consultants as Global Head of the Financial Services. In 2015, he was appointed Global Head of Financial Services of Roland Berger before joining Degroof Petercam Bank as a Head of Macro Research. He advises numerous companies and is managing director of Brederode, UNIBRA Group and Union Wallonne des Entreprises (UWE). He is also a member and past Director of the Classe Technologie et Société of the Royal Academy of Science, Letters and Fine Arts of Belgium from May 2009 and member of various scholarly organizations (Mensa, High IQ Society, etc.).
