Bruce L. Prentice grew up in Toronto, Ontario. Having played baseball at a young age and been considered a top athlete, Bruce's career would end up primarily in the sports industry where he founded the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame, Seneca College Baseball Program, Canadian Baseball News, and notably the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame where he has held the role of Chair/President since 1995. Sports Business Career While Bruce found success in industries such as telecommunications, consumer food, and health care, his greatest accolades came through his work in the sports industry and namely new developments. He began in 1978, where he served as Executive Director for the Ontario Lacrosse Association followed by founding the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in the early 1980s. He would hold the role of CEO for 17 years. Today, the hall can be found in St. Marys, Ontario. Bruce would go on to also help found and develop the World Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990's where he still serves as the President of the Board of Directors. The World Baseball Hall of Fame's board of directors and advisers is currently composed of iconic figures in the sports world such as Cito Gaston, Roberto Clemente, Jr., and Rod Black. With the goal of inducting players from the four corners of the planet, the original twelve inductees represented eight countries. Cited Sources
