Brody Murakami (born March 14, 1981) is an American music producer, engineer, A&R and artist manager & developer. Career He was born in Kona, Hawaii to Bruce and Cindy Murakami. Growing up in the islands and later moving throughout the United States, he settled in Florida. Murakami began his career as a musician producing his own music. He now works in Florida with such producers and managers as Johnny Wright, Doug Brown, Trace Thomas, Jeff Hanson, and Sara Lee Lucas and Grinehouse Publishing. Brody assembles new music groups with Johnny Wright partner, Doug Brown. Murakami also created and owns Hit Music Management and Jonetsu Entertainment, to find and manage new talent. Murakami was also recently asked by Johnny Wright to mix a new studio album by Aaron Carter. Since he has resided in Orlando Florida, Murakami has been helping the music scene of Central Florida come back to life since its disruption in the early 2000's from Lou Pearlman's arrest. Life On November 11, 1998 Brody Murakami's mother Cindy Murakami and 11 year old sister Chelsea Murakami were killed in a fiery car accident resulting from a street race in Hillsborough Tampa, Florida. His father Bruce Murakami fought for justice, but later forgave the teen responsible. Bruce Murakami now travels the US speaking at high schools and the dangers of teen drivers and is CEO of a non-profit organization Safe Teen Driver. The Hallmark Hall of Fame filmed a movie based on the Murakami story called Crossroads and starring actor Dean Cain Current Murakami and his team have been on the scout for the next new artist to enter the Pop world. Rumors that Murakami has been working with some American Idol members.
