Brittany moved from Murfreesboro Tennessee to Winchester Tennessee. I was directing "Gypsy" at the Community Playhouse in Tullahoma Tennessee about 2001. I had been involved with the theater for decades. This young lady of about 15 or 16 walked into auditions and just knocked me over. I knew from the minute she walked in the door that she had what it took. She didn't even have to open her mouth and I knew she had the role from first sight.

I casted her in the role of "Louise" (Gypsy Rose Lee) and was astonished at the capability she had as such an early age. I think it was the first major role she'd ever had and I never had to worry. She was a pro from start to finish.

She had all the qualities and just went over and beyond what I thought that role should be. I can remember her Mother, Barb, being rather anxious about her young daughter playing a "stripper" but was pleased to find out that it was tastefully done. She knocked the audiences out of their seats.

She put so much feeling an emotion into all qualities of that role. I remember doing private readings with her which I didn't do with any of the other people auditioning and she was perfect. She embodied that role and became that character. That particular role requires the gammot of age difference and maturity qualities and she captured it all!

I knew she would go on to satisfy her dream in theatrics. Brittany honey! I love ya! My best to you and give Barb a big kiss for me.
