Bristol Grammar School Model United Nations

Bristol Grammar School Model United Nations (abbreviated to BGS MUN) is an annual Model United Nations conference that is held yearly in February at Bristol Grammar School in the city of Bristol, UK.
Model United Nations is an international programme to promote interest in the United Nations and their work, within schools and universities across the world. The programme features debating conferences that are organised by institutions, consisting of teams (or 'delegations') of students submitted by other schools from all over the country. The delegates come together in organised and guided debates regarding issues of international politics, economics, development and many others.
The conference lasts a day and is typically composed of the following committees:
* Security Council
* Political Committee
* Economic Committee
* Disarmament Committee
* Science and Development Committee
* Health Committee
In 2016, the conference organisers replaced the Health Committee with the 'Historical Security Council' which debates topics as though the debate were taking place in the past.
Past conferences are as follows:
*"BGS MUN I- 2009"
*"BGS MUN II - 2010"
*"BGS MUN III- 2011"
*"BGS MUN IV- 2012"
*"BGS MUN V- 2013"
*"BGS MUN VI- 2014"
*"BGS MUN VII- 2015"
*"BGS MUN VIII- 2016"
