Brendan McCann

Brendan McCann (born 18 November 1959 in Galway) is an Irish college lecturer based in Waterford, Republic of Ireland. Brendan is a member of the Irish Green Party.
Brendan has stood numerous times in the Waterford constituency for election to Dáil Éireann and Waterford City Council but has however failed to be elected on all occasions.
Apart from politics, Brendan is notable for his large number of objections to planning permission applications in Waterford City which has lead to a number of media outlets labeling him as a serial objector.
McCann, under instruction, withdrew his nomination for Waterford City Council elections 2009, as it was feared that the backlash against his serial objections, which cost many jobs and new homes, would reflect on the Green Party.
