Boychick

Boychick, variant: Boychik \boi-'chik or boi-'shik\. Noun: American Yiddish, from English boy + Yiddish -tshik, a diminutive suffix. Meaning: young boy, boyish, kiddo, handsome. Leo Rosten includes boychick in his The Joys of Yiddish, which is more properly referred to as Yinglish. Boychick is always used a complement. Such as, "I have three sons but only one boychick!"
Boychick is a popular term used by American Jews and often appears on t-shirts, coffee mugs...ect. Boyo is a similar term used by the Irish.
