Bob Stand

The Bob Stand is a grandstand at North Sydney Oval. Originally constructed on the eastern side at the Sydney Cricket Ground, admission to the stand costs a shilling (also known as a bob), which gave the stand its name. It is a single-level grandstand with about 20 rows of seating; with an iron roof (painted green), and a clock tower.
Redevelopment at the SCG in the 1980s saw the stand taken down, to be replaced by the Bill O'Reilly Stand. The grandstand was then rebuilt in the northeast corner at North Sydney Oval.
The stand has a seating capacity of around 1,000 people. The concrete pillars that hold the grandstand up can obscure views from some seats; and its northeastern location can lead to spectators in the stand getting the sun in their eyes.
When Northern Spirit FC were playing in the old National Soccer League, the Bob Stand was where the loyal, singing fans would stand to watch the game.
