Bob Cruz (1953 - 1995) was an American disc jockey and announcer who grew up in Levittown, New York. A weekend announcer at WLCY in Tampa, Florida, where he went by the name of Bob Morgan, Cruz was hired in 1976 to replace Jay Reynolds at radio. Besides presenting the 'all night show' on WABC, he became the permanent replacement for Dan Ingram when the latter was not available, possibly because his voice resembled that of Ingram. Cruz later took over afternoons in 1979 when Ingram moved to morning drive. He left WABC in March of 1981, but remained in New York for a time doing voice-over work for the ABC television program 20/20, as well as ABC television's coverage of the Olympics, and scores of national commercials.
Cruz died at the age of 42.
