Bloomington Brothers is a sketch comedy group from Bloomington Minnesota. Its founding members are Matt Houchin and Ross McNamara. Both Matt and Ross attended high school in Bloomington but went to rival high schools. Matt Graduated from Jefferson Senior High School in 1999 and Ross Graduated from Kennedy Senior High School in 2001. Both graduated college from Northwestern with degrees in TV/film. It was at Northwestern that Bloomington Brothers was born. ;Getting Started While at Northwestern the two did many videos together for both class projects and personal enjoyment. It was not until years later (2006) that the two released their first video to the public eye. It was simply called Smash. (a cover of Dave Matthews Band's 'Crash'). Shortly after that they released an second cover song called How Are You Doing?. (a cover of Dave Matthews Band's 'Where Are You Going') ;Other Projects Ross-Besides his work on the Bloomington Brothers, Ross wrote and directed the feature film Cold Feet as well as the short film Wisconsin Gas. Currently he produces web videos and commercials through the Twin Cities based, Slick Rock web company. Ross presently lives in St. Louis Park Minnesota which he likes to tell people is the same city the Cohen Brothers and Al Franken are from. Matt-Aside from doing Bloomington Brothers, Matt performs at ComedySportz in Minneapolis. Matt has also found success behind the camera producing the feature length documentary "King of the Road" as well as two nationally syndicated sports magazine TV shows. ("Softball360" and "Sled Head 24/7").
