Bloodsucking Zombies From Outer Space
|
Bloodsucking Zombies From Outer Space is an Austrian psychobilly and horrorpunk band formed in 2002. History Bloodsucking Zombies From Outer Space (BZFOS) started to play in October 2002. Their music was (and still is) full of reminiscences of psychobilly and is influenced by B-movies and Slasher films, with themes and stereotypes such as zombies, mummies, mass murderer references and cemetery fantasies. They were discovered by the well-known German horror-punk label Fiend Force Records which produced the demo "Eaters of the Dead" and the album "See you at Disneyland...". These records, as well as the next albums "Night At Grand Guignol" and "Monster Mutant Boogie" got favorable reviews and have been selling with great success. After these three longplayers BZFOS distributed a new album called "Killer Klowns From Outer Space" - 666 EPs of pure psycho- and horrorbilly. Among those tracks is a cover of one of the BZFOS favorite bands, The Dickies, who gave the new EP its title, and the cover of "Poison", originally by Alice Cooper. Current members The members of the band all use pseudonyms: Dead "Richy" Gein, Dr. "He-Mann" Schreck, The Reverend Bloodbath and Mr. "Jim" Evilize. According to their statement, they come from a distant planet called Transilvania and have arrived to Earth in order to flood it with the music of evil, called rock'n'roll. And they want to play the most bloody rock'n'roll on Earth . Touring After "See you at Disneyland..." (2004) the band started touring to other countries including Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic and Switzerland, becoming increasingly popular. 2009 tour includes a few shows in Britain and the appearances on “Club Sin pt9” (Tampere, Finland), “Psychomania Rumble” (Potsdam, Germany) and “PORK” (Berlin, Germany) festivals.
