Blake Matheny

Blake Matheny is an engineering director at Facebook where he is responsible for Linux kernel development. Prior to joining Facebook, Blake was one of the first dozen engineers at Tumblr. At Tumblr Blake was the engineer primarily responsible for developing collins and memkeys, along with several other open source projects. Blake was also an active contributor to finagle, an RPC framework developed at Twitter. Blake attended Purdue University. At Purdue University, Blake was a research student of Jeffrey Mark Siskind and Eugene Spafford, focused on the security related research. Blake also collaborated with graduate students Brian Carrier and Aaron Walters.
