Bizographics

Bizographics
Bizographics or bizographic data refers to the business demographics of an audience or population. Similar to demographics, the characteristics of a person, or firmographics, the characteristics of an organization, bizographic data describes the characteristics of a person in an organization. Commonly used bizographics include information such as the industry, company size, seniority and function of a person within an organization.

Bizographic profiles in Marketing
Marketers typically combine several variables to define a bizographic profile. A bizographic profile may contain information such as executive, sales, healthcare, mba. Marketers then use this information to define what segments exist in the overall business population; and secondly to create a clear picture of the characteristics of a typical member of each of these segments that would be useful to target for a specific product or service. Once these profiles are constructed, they can be used to develop a marketing strategy and/or marketing plan.
