</noinclude> BitGravity is a CDN (Content Delivery Network). It uses technology for global distribution called BitCast (a mixture between a global file system and Anycast). BitGravity provided IPv6 services and HD stream services. It also has gained notoriety in the Video Podcast industry as the distribution network for Revision3. BitGravity is based in Burlingame, California, USA, founded in February 2006 and officially launched October 2007 by Barrett Lyon and Perry Wu. On June 24 2009, it was announced that co-founder and CTO Barrett Lyon departed BitGravity, to found 3Crowd. On September 8, 2008, Tata Communications, announced a strategic partnership with BitGravity, investing $11.5 million in convertible debt. BitGravity named Tata Communications’ Chief Technology Officer, John Hayduk to its Board of Directors.
