BioScale Inc.

BioScale Inc. is an American biotechnology firm. It is a life science tools' company that has developed a proprietary and platform, "ViBE Protein Analysis Platform", for life sciences and diagnostics. ViBE Protein Analysis Platform is an ultra sensitive system to measure proteins in complex samples like blood products and drug manufacturing mixtures.
Organization
The company develops products that enable ultra-sensitive, quantitative measurements scaling a wide range of biological analytes and complex matrices. BioScale was the subject of a 2006 Harvard Business School case study. In June 2011, the company opened its new 30,000-square-foot laboratory and manufacturing headquarters in Lexington, where it plans to add more hires in supply chain, sales, service, marketing, manufacturing, and operations. Millennium Pharmaceuticals reported it had used Bioscale's technology in its drug research and found it required fewer steps than the Western blot method and was more accurate than PerkinElmer's optical system.
History
Formerly called as Marked Biochips Inc., the company was founded in 2002 by Mark Lundstrom and three professors from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Since from its inception, Bioscale has arranged a total funding of around 70 million dollars from different rounds of venture and equity funding. Some of the major fundings are:
