Billy Humphrey

Billy Humphrey is the Director of the International House of Prayer Atlanta (IHOP-Atlanta). He is currently the most-featured speaker at the Encounter Service, the church gathering associated with IHOP-Atlanta and an instructor in the Gatekeeper School of Ministry.

Formerly, Billy Humphrey served as a youth pastor at Victory World Outreach. During 2001-2002, the youth ministry was touched with revival, resulting in spiritual renewal and a unique experience of the power of God. Over 600 new commitments of faith were recorded over the seven-month period. Humphrey also formerly served as director of the Metro Atlanta Masters Commission during 2001-2003.

In 2003, Humphrey worked with and received training from the leadership of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. He and his family returned to Atlanta in September 2004 to establish a house of prayer missions base with a similar mandate for 24-7 prayer and intercession as IHOP Kansas City.

Billy Humphrey is committed to raising up 24-7 prayer in the city of Atlanta and to calling Christians to live lives fully abandoned to the Kingdom of God, to be mindful and aware of the urgency of the times, and prepare for the return of Jesus Christ to theplanet.” His teachings include relevant topics such as the culture of the Kingdom of God, the End of the age, Global revival and breakthrough, Intercession and prayer, Israel, the Father-heart of God, and the Bridal paradigm.

In 2007, Humphrey authored his first book, Culture of the Kingdom: A call to the Sermon on the Mount Lifestyle. Culture of the Kingdom “is a prophetic call to the church to turn away from the ways of the world system. It is a call to whole-heartedly return to the Lord and to embrace and live the values of the Kingdom of God.

In the Foreword to Culture of the Kingdom, Mike Bickle says of Humphrey: “Billy Humphrey is one who is aggressively seeking to embrace and live these values in his own life. It is from the place of fasting and prayer, serving and giving that he is urging us, in this generation, to resist the temptation to live a ‘comfortable’ version of Christianity and to embrace and live out the values of the Sermon on the Mount.”
