Biju Sopanam is an Indian actor who is doing Malayalam films, Malayalam TV series and Sanskrit drama. Career Biju started his career in acting as a theatre artist in 1995. He served as the disciple of popular drama artist and director Kavalam Narayana Panicker under his theatre troupe Sopanam Institution of Performing Arts and Research. His first TV show was Back benchers, a college campus-based comedy serial telecasted in Amrita TV. Biju gives life to Benjamin Brunou, the college principal. Later his character as Balachandran Thampi a.k.a. Balu in Uppum Mulakum gave him the big break.Uppum Mulakum is a family tale creamed with humour which tells the tale of Balachandran, his wife Neelima and their four kids. Biju plays Balachadran aka balu, the funny and witty hero with his typical Thiruvananthapuram local slang. Biju gives full faith to his characters which are liked by the small screen spectators. His onscreen chemistry with Nisha Sarang in ‘Uppum Mulakum’ shows his acting brilliance. Being a natural actor, Biju is a true asset to the malayalam entertainment world.
