Big icon

Big Icon is a Nepali singing competition series created, produced and distributed by Big FM Nepal. It began airing in 2009, as an addition to the Singing Competition and has since become one of the most successful radio program in the history of Nepali Radio Station.
Hosts
All season are hosted by Sanjok Basyal. who is also a Radio Jockey for Big FM 101.2 MHz Pokhara, Nepal
Selection process
First Competitors have to fill up Big icon form from the Big FM office in Newroad Pokhara or from the internet. There will be 19 rounds including initial audition to win the competition.
Initial auditions
In a series of steps, the judges select 80-100 competitors out of many tens of hundreds of contestants for further steps.
Audience voting
From the Top 10 onwards, the fate of the contestants is decided by public vote. During the contestant's performance as well as the recap at the end, a voting details for each contestant is said to the station by themselves.
Finals
The Finals are broadcast in Pokhara's Local TV channel Gandaki Television and in a BIG FM 101.2 MHz live.
Rewards for winner and finalists
The winner receives a Scooter of worth Rs. 160000 and one week musical journey to UK sponsored by British college, Whereas, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up will receive prize worth NRs. 75000 and NRs. 50000.
