3E1 Elimination Ceremony

3E1 Elimination Ceremony is a Singapore elimination-style television show that premiered on Events Channel E on 8 June 2013. In the show, host Lam Rong Peng would eliminate the members of his class, 3E1, from North View Secondary School, as he dislikes the members of his class. There are a total of 42 classmates of 3E1. Each week, the host would randomly select eight of the classmates as elimination candidates based on a random drawing using a lottery machine. Out of the eight candidates, four would be eliminated in the results show the following day, based on voting on by the members of the other class, 3E2 and voting by viewers on the show's website, with the four members with the highest number of votes eliminated. The format continues until 10 members remain. Once 10 members remain, the format remains the same, but only 3 candidates are selected, and only one or two are eliminated each week until only one member of the class remains and is declared the winner. The winner would get to accompany Lam to 3E2 once the winner is found. Eliminated members of the class are sent to Malaysia and are sent to a school where they can continue their studies. Eliminated members of the class are not allowed to return to the school or return to Singapore. There are two episodes broadcast each week, on Saturdays and Sundays. The first is a pre-recorded episode which the candidates are selected and the voting rounds and aired on a Saturday. The second is the results show where the results of the voting are announced and is broadcast live on Channel E. The results show would feature performances by Lam's former primary school classmates and his friends that he met online. The show is aired on Channel E at 2.00am on Saturdays and 1.30am on Sundays.
The original idea was to have a voting system similar to that used in the television show Survivor, where only one would be eliminated each week. But the producers and Lam discussed about it, they decided to scrap it due to the fact that is "too slow to eliminate just one each week" and was replaced by 3E1 Elimination Ceremony.
Two hours before the first episode aired, Channel E aired a special programme, Channel E Topic Talk: Should Lam stay at 3E1 or go to 3E2? at 11.30pm on June 7, 2013. The 45-minute talk show discussed about the events that led to Lam disliking his classmates, and the things that he did to his classmates such as giving them a cold shoulder whenever they talk to him, insulting his classmates, telling members of the other class, 3E2, negative opinions about 3E1 and calling the 3E1 members nicknames based on football players and their index numbers, mainly from the Premier League club, Liverpool.

In this episode, the 42 members of 3E1 are introduced. From the 42, 2 were eliminated immediately by random drawing. 8 were then selected and voting began.
Episode 2
Title: "Top 36 Announced"
Airdate: 9 June 2013
This was the first results show, out of the eight candidates, four were eliminated in the results show. It included performances by The Fighters and Girls' Generation impersonators.
Episode 3
Title: "6 already gone, eight in danger out of 36"
Airdate: 15 June 2013
In this episode, eight elimination candidates are selected from the remaining 36. The 36 remaining 3E1 members are challenged in an endurance challenge to win immunity. Only two can win immunity from elimination.
Episode 4
Title: "Top 36 Results, Four will leave tonight"
Airdate: 16 June 2013
In this live results show, four are eliminated from the eight elimination candidates. Lam's former primary school classmates James performs.
