Best of Dragon Magazine

Best of Dragon Magazine were five volumes of material compiled from Dragon magazine, for use with the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game.

The first Best of the Dragon was a compilation of influential early articles from The Dragon and Strategic Review. Almost all of the articles in this compilation are about D&D, with numerous pieces from the "Desginer's Forum," "Dragon Mirth," and "Variants" columns, including such articles as "Illusionist Additions," "The Original Ranger Class," "Lycanthropy - The Progress of the Disease," and "Random Monsters." Best of Dragon, Vol. II was edited by Kim Mohan, and published by TSR/Dragon Publishing in 1981 as an 80-page book, with a second edition published in 1985.<ref name="HW"/>
