2008 Season

Expectations were high at the beginning of the season with various new signings including the signing of former defender Danny Burt who formerly played for the now defunct Canberra Cosmos in the defunct National Soccer League.. With hopes high, injuries hit hard and coach Tony Lyons had only been able to play Danny for about 20 minutes in the whole season. The many injuries were not all a bad thing as it gave young players from their U19 side an opportunity to play top grade.

Beresfield were denied by Dudley Redhead United in their last game to move up 2 spots on the ladder after going up 1-0 early in the game, eventually losing 4-1. This result also meant that Dudley would head into the final series instead of the Thornton Park Redbacks who needed Beresfield to at least finish with a draw for them move in front of Dudley
