Bent Leaf, LLC is a Denison, Texas based full-service advertising agency, focusing on small to medium-sized businesses and non-profits. The company also owns the Bent Leaf Recording Studio and Bent Leaf Records. History Bent Leaf was originally founded as Bent Leaf Promotions, LLC in 2008 by Jesse Sims, an award winning Texas Music Producer, published songwriter , entrepreneur and public speaker. In March 2015, Andrew K. Sokol, a former payment executive formerly with Visa, MasterCard, Revolution Money - a Steve Case company (sold to American Express in 2010 for $300 million), and Escrow.com (sold to Freelancer.com in 2015 for $7.5 million), bought half of the company, and the company name was changed to Bent Leaf, LLC. Bent Leaf Records was established in July 2015. The labels first initiative was to purchase the rights to the Green Light Pistol catalogue, including their latest album The Cage, The album, recorded in 2014 at Bent Leaf Studios and Zone Recording Studios (Dripping Springs, TX), was produced by Jesse Sims. Jesse also wrote track #1, This Thing We Call Love. Two songs on the album, Hey Andy and Shatter Me, were co-produced by Grammy Award winning producer Lloyd Maines. Bent Leaf, LLC is involved in both local and national non-profit organizations. Jesse is the Founder of Young at Art Ministries, a faith-based organization mentoring the youth of Denison. Andrew sits on the Board of Directors at The Fender Music Foundation, a national music charity that provides instruments to music education programs throughout the country. Andrew is also the Founder/President of Been There, Teach That! , a non-profit focused on teaching business skills to small businesses and entrepreneurs around the country.
