Beneaththecrimsonskyline

Beneath The Crimson Skyline (often stylised "beneaththecrimsonskyline") are a Post-Hardcore/Screamo band from Nottingham, United Kingdom. The band is currently one of the frontrunners of the current New Wave of UK Screamo - achieving this through extensive touring and MySpace promotion.

The band are known for fusing the genres of Metalcore, Emo and Post Hardcore.

Formation

The band were formed in mid-2007 following the demise of the members' previous ventures. Originally comprised of just guitarist Eddie Haynes and Vocalist/Songwriter Michael Lynch, with second guitarist Chris Cockcroft joining within the next few weeks. The band then recruited drummer Asher Stoppard and began rehearsing and writing songs. Shortly thereafter, the band recruited bassist Edd Cunningham and the lineup was complete.

beneaththecrimsonskyline played their first show on October 30th 2007 at Junktion 7 in Nottingham, opening the show. They were extremely well received and were encouraged to head for the recording studio.

The "Her Last Farewell" Era

The band recorded their first EP in February 2008 entitled "Her Last Farewell." This was extremely well received, with an independent music critic reviewing it at 8/10. The band began playing shows intensively off the back of this EP in order to generate awareness and increase their popularity. This was helped majorly by shows with bands Flood Of Red and Divding The Line (Dividing The Line) who are consistently ranked numbers 1 & 2 Independent Screamo Artsists on the MySpace Top Artists Listings.

Due to the number of shows they have been playing recently and their MySpace Promotion tactics, beneaththecrimsonskyline have secured their consistent ranking in the Unsigned Top Arsist rankings on MySpace, consistenly scoring well with the Top 30 for their genre.
