Biography

Flood of Red as they are now, were formed in the summer of 2005. An amalgamation of members of various Glasgow bands they played a somewhat more melodic style of music than most of the heavier bands from the area, while still including screaming and breakdowns. The band started however in 2000 under the name "The Psychotic Pandas" AKA, TPP (the name changed to Flood of Red in 2005) and originally consisted of Calum Doris (Lead Guitar, Vocals), Graham Griffith (Drums) and Craig Ridley (Electric Bass) who in March 2005 left to start his own project.

Their first UK tour in October 2005 was met with huge enthusiasm and interaction by fans up and down the country, thanks to the bands large MySpace following. Ever since they have been continually writing and touring in the UK, even making a trip to Belgium for a week of shows and being interviewed by the BBC.

Recently the band began to develop a new sound taking cues from such bands as Underoath and Every Time I Die with deeper screaming and heavier guitar parts. This can be heard most prominently in the songs "Patches" and "Linda".

Their "official" debut EP was released on the 19th February 2007 and On the 28th February 2007 the band appeared in an article in Kerrang magazine. They played at the Download Festival on the 10th June 2007 along side bands such as The Ghost Of A Thousand and The Zico Chain. On the 15th June 2007 they released a rough demo of "Linda" on their myspace page. They played on the T-break stage in T in the park on 6th July.

The band are currently recording songs and are planning a possible album. They have recently headlined a tour withThe Ghost of a Thousand and The Zico Chain and are on tour with as of October 2007.
