Ben Seresin is a New Zealand-born British cinematographer. Seresin grew up in New Zealand, moving to Britain in his youth to pursue filmmaking. He took on various roles behind the camera such as best boy, clapper loader and camera operator on films like The Mosquito Coast, and proceeding to work in the first and second unit for Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and '. He first started working as cinematographer on various television movies and shows, his first feature film being The James Gang in 1997. Seresin was hired as cinematographer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, marking his first time acting as cinematographer on a major Hollywood project. He would work with Michael Bay again on 2013's Pain & Gain. Additional filmography includes Unstoppable, Broken City and World War Z. His next project will be the 2017 reboot of The Mummy starring Tom Cruise. He has been a member of both the British Society of Cinematographers and American Society of Cinematographers since the early 2010s.
