"Beckilicious" is a slang word, coined by teenagers in Southern California. It has been has described as a "slang word to replace common words of praise, delight or amazement, such as words like 'epic,' 'awesome,' and 'Chuck Norris.'" History The word "Beckilicious" was first used somewhere in the Los Angeles area, and is synonymous with slang words such as "awesome," and "amazing." It was created in respect to American musician Beck. A Facebook group in honor of the slang word has been created. Usage Beckilicious is a portmanteau word, or a cross between the name "Beck" and the word "delicious." It is usable in nearly any verbal language, but it most commonly used by English speakers. Beckilicious is almost always used as a positive superlative, but can also be used sarcastically. Controversy The slang word has been criticized by for being a "useless" word, despite the fact that it is quickly growing in usage in everyday language.
