Barrie North (b. 1970) is an author best known for his popular books about and freely available tutorials that have been viewed by millions. His most recent book, Joomla! A User's Guide immediately became the best selling book for Joomla 1.5 upon publication. Extracts have been used as part of the project documentation at joomla.org.
Barrie began his career in education becoming steadily more involved in web technology; teaching web design classes to students and technology integration to teachers. Barrie maintains one of the most popular blogs about Joomla at compassdesigns.net.
