Barbie in A Mermaid Tale

Barbie in A Mermaid Tale is a 2010 computer animated direct-to-video film and part of the CGI Barbie film series. It will be released on DVD on February 09, 2010. The movie was based on Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale in a modern retelling. This film was the second Barbie Movie,having featured a modern setting,after The Barbie Diaries and also the second Barbie mermaid movie after Barbie: Mermaidia.
Plot
Barbie stars as Merliah Summers an incredible swimmer, a super-star surfer and queen of her Malibu high school. All of a sudden, strange things start to happen to her: her hair turns pink in the sea, she learns she can breathe underwater and even speak dolphin! Merliah soon finds out that she is a mermaid princess and that her mother is Queen Calissa. However, Calissa's queendom, Oceana, is in trouble and Merliah realises that it is up to her to save it. Enjoy this brand new Barbie story.
