Bambi Kevichüsa

Bambi Kevichüsa is a Naga fashion designer based in Dimapur, Nagaland. She is the founder of Bambi K and the Creative Head of Windfall.
Early life
Born to an Angami Naga father of the Kevichüsa family (Her grandfather A. Kevichüsa was the first graduate among the Nagas) from Khonoma and a Lotha Naga mother.
As a child, Bambi would play weddings with her cousin sisters and she would take all the old lace curtains to make gowns and use the cherry blossoms and plum blossoms as headgear for them to make them look like brides. While in school, she would be drawing dresses and gowns on her notebooks while the teachers were teaching in class.
By the time she was in standard five, she decided that designing was the only thing she wanted to do.
Career
Bambi Kevichüsa also started singing, writing songs and playing the piano at a very young age. She also began performing in rock bands during her high school days, and later went on to join LYSTRA, a gospel rock band in Kohima, as keyboardist and vocalist.
Bambi also spent a few years in Chennai as the keyboardist of Blood and Fire, a Heavy Rock Christian Band co-writing several songs and performing in various cities of India, including Mumbai.
After completing a tailoring course in Mumbai, she went on to do a Diploma in Clothing Industry Studies at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) in 2001 at Melbourne, Australia.
She started her design label Bambi K, specialising in bridal couture with clean and understated elegance. Currently she is the Creative Head of Windfall, a quaint little concept store in the leafy suburbs of Dimapur.
