Bacon Flavour Fries

Bacon Flavour Fries, more commonly abbreviated to simply ‘Bacon Fries’, is the name of a bacon-flavoured cereal-based snack sold in Britain. Although they are sold as Smith’s Bacon Flavour Fries, they are in fact made by Walkers, the UK’s largest crisp company. While Bacon Fries are mainly marketed as a pub snack, they are sold in most grocery stores as well. Although very highly regarded for their flavour and consistency, they are criticised for coming in relatively small packets for the price attached. Alternatives are available, such as Tesco’s own brand version, which contain about four times the content for a fractionally greater price.

Bacon Fries are sold as part of a range of three snacks which all feature similar packaging, the other two being Scampi Fries and Cheese Flavoured Moments. Cheese Flavoured Moments are not sold in Ireland.

They are very similar in many regards to another Walkers product, Frazzles.

According to the packaging, they are “ideal with any drink, and are best when consumed immediately after opening”.
