Bachon Ki Duniya

Bachon Ki Duniya is one of the oldest urdu magazines for kids. Translated literally it means "The world of children".
It was started in around 1958, from Lahore, Pakistan by one of the renowned writer of that time, the late Muhammad Amin Sharaqpuri. Almost a decade after his death, his elder son, Muhammad Saleem Sharaqpuri (who himself was a renowned ) took the editorship.
He kept on publishing it for another 35 years and then after his demise it was taken up by his elder son, hence the magazine now enters the third generation.
The style and trend set by this magazine was followed by many. To this date the magazine is being published. Hence it has entered the 54th year of its life, serving and edutaining generations of Pakistani children.
In 1986, Gallup did a survey about media habits of children in Pakistan and it stated that 'Bachon Ki Dunya' is one of most favorite magazine among children (http://www.gallup.com.pk/Polls/Press%20Release%20-%2026%20-%2007%20-%201986.pdf)
