B.R.K Raju

Introduction
Bhupathiraju Ramakrishna Raju (born 1949) also known as B. R. K. Raju, is one of the popular political activists, social and educational analysts of India.
Early life
B.R.K Raju was born in 1949, in Kumudavalli, a village near Bhimavaram of Andhra Pradesh. He is the son of Bhupathiraju Subbaraju and Chandramma. After marrying Vijaya Lakshimi, he is fathered to three sons, Suresh Raju, Ramesh Raju and Venu.
Raju spent most of his childhood in Kumudavalli, but later he left to Chennai to do his AMIE course. He established the Non Tamilian Association, for the welfare of Telugu people in Tamil Nadu during 1970s. He worked as a technician for a couple of years in Biological Evans at Hyderabad and then returned to Kumudavalli.
After completion of three master degrees in Indian Politics, English Literature and Public Administration, Raju established several educational institutions, including Sarada Coaching Center, Sarada Residential School, Sarada Residential College, St Peter's Residential School and Murthyraju Residential School in Bhimavaram. Sarada Residential School remained as a first English medium school in Godavari Districts. By establishing these institutes, he became the first person to introduce a target-oriented system of education in India.
Political life
Raju worked as state joint secretary for Indian Youth Congress to strengthen the Congress party in the state. He also served as political advisor and political analyst for the prominent national leaders such as Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, and state leaders such as N.T. Ramarao, Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy, Nedurumalli Janardhana Reddy, and Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. He conducted public seminars, focusing on "Expectations of Youth and Women in India", and "Society for Secularism" with Mani Shankar Aiyar and Srinivasulu Reddy.
Achievements
He sworn as member of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission in the presence of state governor Rameshwar Thakur in 2005, and brought remarkable reforms in the recruitment process of candidates and in Group 1 and Group 2 Examination syllabus scheme. In 2011, he was elected as chairman of the commission. He remained as the first person after Indian Independence to bring these remarkable changes.
