Avinash Vazirani

Introduction
Mr. Avinash Vazirani is the Head of South Asia Equities Team and the Fund Manager of Indian Equities at Jupiter Asset Management Limited. He joined Jupiter Asset Management Limited in 2007 and is a part of its Emerging markets team. Mr. Avinash Vazirani is a Chartered Accountant.
He manages the Jupiter India Fund (Unit Trust) and the Jupiter India Select SICAV (which took over the assets of the Peninsular South Asia Access Fund, a fund that Avinash managed from its launch in July 1995).
Mr. Avinash Vazirani has over 19 years of experience and was the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of South Asia and Africa at BNP Paribas Asset Management. He was the founder of Peninsular Capital Partners LLP in 2005 and was one of its managing partners. He was also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GEM Dolphin Investment Managers from 1994 to 1997.

April 5th, 2013: The Telegraph published an article about the investment scenario in India. It provided Avinash Vazirani’s opinion about the same. Avinash felt that the Indian stock market will be benefited by January’s cut in India’s interest rates coupled with the launch of a new subsidy scheme for India’s poor.
May 22nd, 2014: Hargreaves Lansdown published an article about Avinash Vazirani, manager of the Jupiter India Fund, predicting that the best was yet to come with respect to the booming Indian stock market after the 16th general election in India.
April 29th, 2015: Interactive Investor published an article about Avinash Vazirani’s view on the Indian Investment Market scenario. In this article, Avinash said that there are many opportunities for patient investors to get exposure to high-growth businesses at attractive prices in India.
November 19th, 2015: FT Adviser published an article about the positive sentiment of UK investors and fund managers through an exposure to India and other emerging markets. Vazirani’s put forth his point of view by saying that retail investors liked growth and India is the fastest-growing major economy in the world.
November 26th, 2015: Finanz Monitor published an article which put forth Avinash Vazirani’s viewpoint about the growth rate of reforms that have helped the Indian stock market remain unaffected by the global turmoil prevalent in the emerging markets of the world.
