Australian Webstream Awards

| The Australian Webstream Awards, known also as the AW Awards, is Australia's first award ceremony for online video maker from sites such as YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion and Blip. The inaugural event took place on the 16th of November 2013 at the Metro Arts Theatre in Brisbane, Queensland, in partnership with the Gold Coast Film Festival. The Australian Webstream Awards was created by Age of the Sun Productions in January 2013 "...as a way to honour and showcase the best of Australia’s online video makers to the world. The storytellers and personalities who have helped popularize the online platforms of video entertainment, media, and education, and whom many have crossed the boundaries into the mainstream." <ref name="awa1"/> |
