General Audimus aims to be a suite of free software tools for musical education purposes. Ear training The first application developed by Audimus is an ear trainer. It started as a school project and has evolved to an easy to use ear training tool used by several schools. It features scales, notes, intervals and chords. Future development will add rhythmic and melodic dictation. Scorewriting Audimus Notes is a recent development supporting the ear trainer. It is a scorewriting application which will support the creation of musical dictations. It can read and write MusicXML formatted files, and export to MIDI as well. |
