Astronauts of Antiquity

Astronauts of Antiquity is an alternative rock band that utilizes influences from electronic, neo-soul and urban music. The group was founded in 2001 by Bradd Weinberg and his wife India. Astronauts of Antiquity (or AOA as they are often referred) are scheduled to be the first act to release from Revcon Records.

History
AOA-1 (2006)
The band's first album was independently released in 2006. Featuring an earthy lounge vibe, "AOA-1" appealed to fans of trip-hop and organica. A promotional video set around a live performance was released for the song "Getting Better". "Same Ground" and "Love Divine" also proved to be popular tracks from the album, with worldly, Middle Eastern influences prevalent throughout the instrumentation and lyrics of the songs.

Rocket Science For Dummies (2008)

The follow up to "AOA-1" is set for release in the fall of 2008, in conjunction with the start of a new independent label, Revcon Records. AOA spent over a year and a half working on "Rocket Science For Dummies" which boasts a more eclectic vibe, taking influences from the soul, pop/rock and urban genres. Notably, the album features a collaboration with Grammy Award winner Cee Knowledge, also known as Doodlebug of the group Digable Planets.
