Association of Business Executives

The Association of Business Executives (ABE) is a United Kingdom membership body, based in London, that offers internationally recognised qualifications in business and management. It has 50,000 students and members in 100 countries around the world. ABE's head office is located in London, and there are ABE representatives internationally, including in Malaysia, Singapore, India and Trinidad & Tobago. It is one of a number of professional bodies in the UK (others include ACCA, CIMA, CIM and AAT), but the only one of these with a particular focus on development of a broad range of business and management skills. ABE was set up in 1973 to meet the need for business and management training in the UK. It soon found new markets in other countries around the world, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. It has continued to offer pathways to degrees from countries like the UK and the US for those students who could not otherwise afford to do so and has some 80 agreements with international universities for ABE students to enter directly onto a Bachelors or Masters degree. ABE qualifications include: Business Management Human Resource Management Business Information Systems Marketing Financial Management Travel, Tourism and Hospitality The the above streams have been accredited by QCA at the following levels; Certificate - NQF Level 3 (equivalent to A-Levels). Diploma - NQF Level 5 (equivalent to HND's). Advanced Diploma - NQF Level 6 (equivalent (in NQF level) to Bachelors Degrees and other graduate diplomas). ABE's registartion fees have not increased for seven years. Their exams are held globally every June and December, in ABE hired venues and in the British Council.
