Todd Taylor is a love interest for Whitney Dean. The pair bumped into each other at the Laundrette when they were doing their laundry. They were later reacquainted when coincidentally, Todd was working for Ricky Butcher as a car valet at Pat Cars. Todd had a shy appearance and asked her out on a date; but Whitney wasn't interested although after having doubts she decided to change her mind.
On their first date together, everything was progressed according to plan; however when Todd told her about his past relationship with another girl, he pushed pressure on Whitney; wanted to know about her past relationship too. This resulted in Whitney running away when she felt she was haunted over her sexual abused relationship with paedophile Tony King, since she was 12 years old. Todd bumped into Whitney near the square flowerbeds; asked her why she backed out on their date, but she stormed off and he found her later again - contacted Ricky, where he discovered her uncontrollably drunk in an alleyway.
The next day he visited the Jackson's at Pat Evans's house to check if Whitney was alright. This had made a good impression to Ricky as he stated that he is a nice boy that Whitney has met since the Tony issue.
