As Seen on TV is Irish author Chris Kerr's second novel. It was published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson, The Orion Publishing Group, based in London in 2005 (). Plot introduction Set in the world of TV and small screen production, the main character is a screenwriter. Rush is given the chance to write for the "A-Team" movie, a step up from the world of Zombie, flesh-eaters! Characters *Kirk Rush - the main protagonist a TV screenwriter Development Kerr has stated that "The plot is dark, rooted in my family's experiences of falling apart. It is my response to my sister having kidney failure at 27 and refusing a transplant." Reception The Mirror panned the book as "bin it", writing that "There are all manner of Hollywood in-jokes and cliches, and this is a very annoying novel that is trying to be far too clever - but it's rather dumb instead." |
